Bentley is getting ready to turn an important page of its history this week in Paris with the presentation of the final version of its standard bearer, the Arnage. Launched in 1998, it has undergone numerous changes over the past decade.

The last production model in collaboration with Rolls Royce, Bentley will introduce the special edition Final Series of which only 150 units will be available. This edition will be a blend of the main versions of the car. It borrows its engine from the T version, a 6.75-litre V8 producing an impressive 500 hp, but will boast all the refined features of the R version while nabbing several visual cues from the Brooklands Coupe.

This edition also commemorates the 10th anniversary of the Arnage, the 50th anniversary of the potent but archaic V8 as well as Bentley's 90th anniversary. The car will be assembled at the Crewe plant in Germany. Equipment will do justice to the benchmark, which is identified by the special edition emblems.

Available features include 20-inch wheels, the famous retractable Flying B and 1,100 watts of sound blasting out of 10 speakers.

Bentley is dropping the curtain on an icon of the exclusive automobile industry. However, the manufacturer doesn't intend to draw out the farewell and is already testing the Arnage's successor.
