Unveiled at the 2016 Geneva Auto Show in March, the new Bugatti Chiron hypercar will reportedly spawn a Super Sport version in 2020 or 2021, according to the TopSpeed website.
Why such a long wait? It appears Bugatti needs the time to further develop the W16 engine and tweak the new chassis. The Chiron Super Sport could arrive with more than 1,600 horsepower versus the current Chiron’s 1,479 horsepower. This could allow for 0-100 km/h acceleration in less than 2.5 seconds and a record-breaking maximum velocity of 271 mph (436.1 km/h).
