The Buick Verano compact luxury sedan will be terminated due to larger vehicles like crossovers and SUVs selling much more units, The Detroit Bureau reports.

The Verano’s numbers fell 12% in the first quarter of 2016 compared to the same period of last year. Its 2015 total of 31,886 units was also down 27% from 2014.

A GM spokesman told Fortune magazine that production of the Buick Verano at the Orion assembly plant near Detroit will end this October after a small number of 2017 models are completed.

Originally launched in 2011 for the 2012 model year, the Verano was manufactured alongside the Chevy Sonic. The latter will continue to be built there.
