Chevrolet’s latest performance parts and accessories for the Camaro, the new Cruze Hatchback, and the Colorado and Silverado pickups were recently on display and put to the test at Spring Mountain Motorsports Ranch in Nevada, not far from the 2016 SEMA Show.
Chevrolet Performance engineers allowed journalists to drive the road course in factory-stock vehicles and performance-upgraded counterparts back-to-back. They also demonstrated the relative ease with which many of the parts and accessories can be installed―ranging from air intake and exhaust kits to performance suspension and brake upgrades.
Not only are they designed, engineered, and tested to the same standards as production components to ensure quality, fit, and durability, but they also effectively maximize performance and look great in doing so.
And don’t forget the peace of mind that comes with knowing that your new-vehicle warranty will remain intact when those accessories and performance parts are installed by a Chevrolet dealer.
Some highlights include a suspension lowering kit with new springs and dampers for a 20mm (Camaro) or 10mm (Cruze) drop in ride height, 6-piston front callipers and larger discs, a cold-air intake system that reduces restriction for optimum engine performance, and a revised exhaust system emitting a sportier note.
