Mercedes-Benz was clearly following the motto “go big or go home” when prepping for their 2016 Canadian International Auto Show unveilings in Toronto because they came with some gorgeous big guns to wow the public.

For starters, they reveled their first drop-top flagship model as a cabriolet. That’s right, for the first time in its 48-year history, Merc is offering a high-performance four-seater drop-top in the S-Class group. To be more precise: a Mercedes-AMG S 63 4MATIC Cabriolet. Wrap your brain around that one for a moment while we spew some knee-weakening numbers: 5.5L V8 biturbo engine with 577 horsepower and 664 lb-ft of torque; high-performance composite brakes; AMG Performance 4MATIC all-wheel drive; 0-100km/h in 3.9 seconds; and all without a roof. Mind still blown? Yeah, we know.

And if you can peel your eyes away from that beaut, you’ll want to take in the likes of the brand new Mercedes-AMG SL 63 and its baby (kind of) brother the Mercedes-AMG SLC 43 (previously known as the SLK 55 AMG). While the SL 63 AMG is oh-so smoking with its new front fascia and AMG 5.5L V8 biturbo mill, it’s the AMG SLC 43 you’ll really want to pay attention to.

With an all-new look and all-new name, the Mercedes-AMG SLC 43 is a minute powerhouse you’ll definitely want to keep a close eye on. Powered by a 3.0L V6 biturbo engine, this two-seater pounds out 362 horsepower, all controlled via a 9G-TRONIC sports transmission. You’ll also find AMG RIDE CONTROL for even greater driving dynamics, along with AMG Driver’s Package that features mechanical limited-slip differential on the rear axle.

Yup, our new favourite letter in the alphabet is most definitely “S,” and Mercedes-Benz has presented us with some pretty intense models at the 2016 CIAS, some might even call them dream cars.
