After weeks of anticipation, Lexus finally unveiled its new LF-LC concept, which showcases the evolution of the brand's latest design language that started a couple of years ago with the CT 200h.
According to Lexus, the lines of this driver-focused vehicle emphasize ''direction and motion,'' while its interior layout helps the driver concentrate on the controls and the road ahead.
As a hybrid sport coupe, the LF-LC concept also features the Advanced Lexus Hybrid Drive system to deliver both driving performance and fuel efficiency.
The NAIAS in Detroit marked another debut for the Japanese automaker, namely the 2013 Lexus LX 570. This full-size SUV now boasts a 5.7L V8 engine that produces 383 horsepower and 403 lb-ft of torque.
Its 6-speed automatic transmission estimates road conditions and predicts the driver's intention. Meanwhile, the TORSEN limited-slip locking centre differential ensures a 40/60 power distribution and favours the wheels with the most grip.
