Acura previewed its on-again off-again supercar with the introduction of the 2012 NSX Concept at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit.

A powerful next-generation VTEC V6 engine with direct injection will team up with a dual-clutch transmission and a built-in electric motor to deliver outstanding acceleration and fuel economy by supercar standards. AWD capabilities will come from the two-motor electric drive unit that can send power to the front wheels.

Acura also introduced the all-new ILX compact luxury sedan in Detroit. When it goes on sale this spring, buyers will have a choice of three different powertrains including a base 2.0L 4-cylinder engine; a high-performance 2.4L 4-cylinder engine mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox; and a 1.5L gasoline-electric hybrid powertrain.

Finally, the new2013 Acura RDX will be motivated by a 273 hp 3.5L V6. Both the new 6-speed automatic transmission and lighter all-wheel drive system will improve performance and efficiency.
