For the first Busch Series race in Canada

The Dodge Quebec Dealer Advertising Association (DQDAA) will sponsor Patrick Carpentier in the first-ever NASCAR Busch Series race to be held in Canada. In all likelihood, Carpentier will sit behind the wheel of a Dodge Charger while trying to overcome the various obstacles of the famous Gilles Villeneuve Circuit.

Patrick Dandurand, President of DQDAA, sees the sponsorship as a perfect opportunity to support a local talent and promote the Dodge brand. The synergy between the various participants is tantamount to the relationship experienced by consumers in Chrysler showrooms all across the country, he added.

Dodge is the main sponsor of the event, which will take place on the weekend of August 3-4. While it will be a first for Carpentier, Dodge has long been associated with Canadian motorsports. This year, two Dodge models are involved in auto racing: the Charger and Avenger. Carpentier will have the opportunity to make his NASCAR debut in Montreal and to race in front of his own fans.
