At $19,995 the Dakota is the Lowest-Priced V8-Powered Truck in America

unnoticed. That would be a shame, as Dodge looks to have improved the popular model in every respect.

But it's not only the sharp creases of the new styling that will cause most truck buyers to sit up and take notice, nor the improved interior, but the fact that V8 power can be had for less than $20,000, or $19,995.

Not only is the 4.7-liter V8's price less expensive than its V8-powered pickup truck competition, it's also $1,000 lower than last

year's V8-powered Dakota starting price. Talk about aggressive! Dodge isn't about to relinquish any dominance in the midsize light truck sector, and like Chrysler Group's other new model releases will hold onto market share by touting value first and foremost.

"Whether we're talking cars, trucks or minivans, Dodge is all about affordable performance," commented Darryl Jackson, Vice President, Dodge Marketing. "Dodge offers the all-new 2005 Dodge Dakota with V-8 for $19,995. No other competitor even offers a V-8 engine in the mid-size truck market."
