Pontiac, MI — Dodge used the occasion of the 2026 edition of Roadkill Nights in Pontiac, Michigan, to showcase several new personalisation avenues for its performance models. The automaker notably unveiled the Durango R/T 392 Smokescreen Concept, as well as new translucent racing stripes, and previewed of its Color Jailbreak program.

The goal, Dodge explained, is to allow buyers to further customize their vehicle directly from the factory, particularly regarding paint choices and decorative accents.
“Dodge owners have never been shy about standing out,” said Matt McAlear, Dodge CEO. He highlighted that the automaker aims to make custom paint finishes more accessible than the exclusive programs previously reserved for low-volume models.
A transformed Durango R/T 392
The centrepiece of the day’s presentations? The Dodge Durango R/T 392 Smokescreen Concept. As its name implies, the three-row SUV receives an exterior finish called Smokescreen, contrasted by Cryo Blue graphics that start at the front and extend along the flanks.
Traditional R/T 392 badging has been replaced by a 392 inscription subtly integrated into the graphic elements. The 20-inch forged wheels also feature a Cryo Blue finish.
Dodge adds amber accents, notably for the daytime running lights, while Smokescreen brake callipers carry Cryo Blue SRT lettering. Blue mirror caps and dark exhaust tips complete the package.
Inside, the cabin sets itself apart with Petrol Blue Laguna leather performance seats featuring silver stitching.
Under the hood, nothing changes. The Durango R/T 392 retains its 6.4L Hemi V8 delivering 475 hp and 470 lb-ft of torque. Paired with all-wheel drive, Dodge claims it can sprint from 0 to 96 km/h in 4.4 seconds.
A more accessible Color Jailbreak program
Dodge also offered a sneak peek at its Color Jailbreak program. The program aims to extend a level of customization previously reserved for vehicles like the Challenger SRT Demon 170 and Durango SRT Hellcat Jailbreak to a broader range of customers.
To illustrate the possibilities, Dodge notably presented a 2027 Charger Scat Pack painted in Cha Ching Green and a Durango SRT Hellcat Jailbreak in Toxic Orange.
Full details regarding the program, including available colours, eligible models and pricing, will be announced later in 2026.
New translucent stripes
Dodge also announced the upcoming availability of Tinted Dual Stripes on the Charger and Durango. Unlike traditional opaque vinyl stripes, these have a translucent finish that allows the underlying body paint to show through. The visual effect therefore varies depending on the chosen paint colour.
A Durango GT HEMI Tow ’n Go finished in the new Redeye shade demonstrated the look at Roadkill Nights. It also features the new Brass Monkey package, which includes 20-inch forged wheels with a bronze finish.
