Martin Tomczyk (Audi) set the best performance in the first free practice session in Hockenheim, last round of the DTM championship.
The german driver, who already secured title in the penultimate round in Valencia, was quickest on Friday with a best lap in 1’33’’621. He leads two 2008-spec C Class Mercedes of Maro Engel (1’33’’789) and Christian Vietoris (1’33’’884).
The first factory car is the Audi A4 driven by Mike Rockenfeller, 4th in 1’33’’983. The factory C Class are, again, at the bottom of the time sheet, as the first of them is the Canadian Bruno Spengler, 12th with a lap in 1’34’’553. Gary Paffett (15e), Jamie Green (16e) and Ralf Schumacher (17e) are even further back.
