Subaru

Kia

Kia is working on an electrified version of the Niro, which is being officially unveiled in Paris as the e-Niro and should be ready for consumers in the coming year. It will join a Niro lineup that already includes a hybrid and a plug-in hybrid version. According to Kia, the range for the e-Niro is going to be around 400 km, a range that is quickly becoming the standard throughout the industry.

The others…

Lincoln, Aston Martin, Bentley, Maserati, Land Rover, Mercedes-Benz, MINI, Porsche and of course Tesla (and a number of others) also have new plug-in hybrid and all-electric models in the works. BMW has been very active on this front as well.

We could go on and on with this list of what’s coming in the next five years. But most of what we’ve outlined is coming sooner than that time frame.

If, like many, you’ve already decided that your next vehicle will be electric in one form or other, know that within a few short years you’ll have a ton of choice!
