Pedro de la Rosa, team McLaren-Mercedes' third and test driver set today the fastest time of the last day of Formula 1 testing at Jerez de la Frontera, Spain. This was last official in-season test session for 2008.

De la Rosa worked on new mechanical and aero parts, and also verified the installation of the infamous KERS.

BMW-Sauber's Nick Heidfeld ranked second, ahead of the surprising Luca di Grassi, currently under evaluation by the Renault F1 Team for a seat next season.

Sebastian Vettel resumed his work with Red Bull Racing while Sébastien Buemi had a second day aboard the Ferrari-powered Toro Rosso.
