The 1980's Formula 1 fans will be happy to know that the sport is going back to its old look with the likely return of turbo engines and ground effect cars in 2013.
The new turbo engines would be 1.6-litre and four-cylinder engines that would work along with several energy recovery systems that should produce around 650bhp.
In the spirit of becoming more environmentally friendly, F1 is also thinking to impose a fuel rate limit that is, according to Sam Michael, “a good chunk less than we had at the moment.”
The ground effect is being taken into account as well for 2013 in the hope of making the new cars more overtaking-friendly.
The teams are currently finalising the last details of the 2013 new regulations. More details will be given when those get officialised.
