Ford and GM join forces to develop 9- and 10-speed transmissions
A GM spokesman told Automotive News that GM and Ford are willing to work together on new automatic transmissions in an effort to improve fuel economy, adding that the two automakers ''hope to announce a definitive agreement soon.''
