Team China Racing has become the second entry for the Formula E series, the global electric championship that will be launched in 2014.
British team Drayson Racing was the first to announce its participation to the FIA Formula E championship, a new series that will feature electric single seaters in races held in cities around the world.
After Rio and Rome, the 2014 calendar will probably feature a race in China, likely Shanghai.
While Team China Racing will initially use the Formula E customer car currently being developed by Spark Racing Technology (SRT), McLaren and Dallara, the team aims to build its own electric formula cars within three years, supported by Chinese EV manufacturers.
