If you’re a fan of Bimmers and customized versions thereof, you’re undoubtedly familiar with G-POWER. Established in 1983, the company specializes in the customization of BMW vehicles and holds several world speed records. Upholding their ultra high-performance tradition, they’ve served up the HURRICANE GS, derived from the M5 and running on liquefied petroleum gas (LPG).

The M5’s standard 500-hp, 383-ft-lb, 5.0-litre V10 engine is already capable of hitting 302 km/h, but G-POWER’s wizards have succeeded in converting the mill so it uses LPG, enables top speeds of 333 km/h and generates 660 hp and 479 ft-lb of torque.

So tuned, this war machine can rocket from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.6 blistering seconds and from 0 to 200 in 11.4 seconds. Not bad!

The engine is equipped with a belt-driven ASA T1-313 compressor that consumes less of the power generated to drive itself compared to traditional compressors. To enable this incredible level of performance, the sequential manual gearbox and engine control module have also been tweaked.

The HURRICANE GS is shod in light, 20-inch SILVERSTONE CLUBSPORT wheels, created by G-POWER and wrapped in Michelin 255/35 ZR 20 tires up front and 285/30 ZR 20 in back, which weigh the same as the 18-inch wheels delivered standard on the M5. Finally, the car has also inherited high-performance brakes and a completely adjustable coil-over suspension.

The compressor and LPG conversion kit is available for 33,571.43 euros (43,115.78 CAD), and the wheels for 7,635.13 euros (9,808.85 CAD).
