Presentation of Ford's electrification strategy, 100% electric models, and charging solutions.

Ford is actively rolling out a progressive electrification strategy aimed at expanding its lineup of all-electric vehicles across various market segments. The manufacturer plans to fully electrify its European range by 2030, a shift supported by significant investments in developing battery technologies and charging infrastructure. The core of this strategy is a two-pillar approach: offering a diverse range of vehicles while simultaneously building a unified charging ecosystem to simplify the user experience.

The 100% Electric Vehicle Lineup

Ford's current electric car lineup includes several models designed to meet different consumer needs:

  • - Ford Mustang Mach-E: This all-electric SUV boasts an impressive range of up to 373 miles (600 km) on a single charge, according to the WLTP cycle. Available features include the advanced BlueCruise hands-free driving technology, the intuitive Ford SYNC 4A interface, and fast DC charging capability.
  • - Ford Explorer Electric: As a family-focused SUV, the electric Explorer offers increased interior space, featuring a unique MegaConsole central compartment and a 14.6-inch movable touchscreen. Depending on the version, it provides a WLTP range of up to 374 miles (602 km).
  • - Puma Gen-E: This urban electric crossover is a new version of the popular Puma model. It's designed for daily use with a quiet ride and retains the handy MegaBox storage compartment.
  • - Ford Capri: This model is an electric coupé-crossover based on the same platform as the Explorer. It features a fastback body style and integrates the latest generation of Ford's onboard technologies.

Ford's Charging Ecosystem

To support its electric vehicles, Ford has developed a comprehensive charging ecosystem. For home charging, customers can use the Ford Charge Station Wallbox, which can be managed remotely through the FordPass app.
On the road, Ford EV owners have access to the BlueOval Charge Network, which includes over 600,000 public charging stations throughout Europe. This network includes high-speed DC fast chargers from partners like IONITY. The FordPass app is an essential tool for drivers, allowing them to plan routes, locate available charging stations, and manage charging sessions remotely.

Key Advantages and "Power Promise"

Ford highlights several tangible benefits of its electric vehicles. The instant torque provided by the electric motor offers quick and responsive acceleration. Additionally, the running costs for energy and maintenance are generally lower compared to gasoline-powered vehicles. With zero tailpipe emissions, these vehicles contribute to reducing CO2 emissions.
Ford also stands by the performance and reliability of its batteries with its "Power Promise" program, which continuously monitors and tracks battery health to ensure long-term performance for its customers.
