Ford at the 2007 Geneva Auto Show

The 2007 Ford C-MAX is fresh from a considerable makeover, now looking more like its acclaimed sibling, the award-winning S-MAX. Ford's family of family movers has never been better looking. Although the cabin has been revamped as well, it has not lost its much-appreciated 'Comfort Seat System' which allows for comfortable seating for three people in the second row or the unique ability to fold the rear centre seat away and allow the outer seats to flip diagonally and move back to provide extra legroom for two passengers. The C-MAX's Duratec 4-cylinder gas engines range from 1.6L, 1.8L and 2.0L in displacement develop between 100 PS (74 kW) and 145 PS (107 kW) with peak torque numbers fetching from 150 Nm to 185 Nm. A total of four diesel engines of identical sizes are available, two of which include a standard Diesel Particulate Filter system. Horsepower numbers range from 90 PS (66 kW) to 136 PS (100 kW). Maximum torque figures are from 215 Nm to 320 Nm. Transmission choices are a 5 and 6-speed manual and a 4-speed automatic.
