Here are our recommendations for winter tires this year

Pirelli

This is a tire brand I've often tried in winter. In fact, despite the fact that the Winter Ice Zero version is the most popular current model, I still recommend Pirelli's Sottozero models, especially for cars and some SUVs with wide wheels.

Every press car equipped with these tires has impressed me with its grip and handling in both snow and ice. The most surprising was, a few years ago, a last-generation Mustang GT V8, a rear-wheel drive coupe that is certainly not the most recommended for winter driving! However, with the Sottozero, the GT gave me surprising grip and all the power I needed for braking and steering. The car never lost grip during the test period. I've been able to drive several European cars with these tires lately and each time I felt safe.
