Toyo Open Country WLT

Though the majority of winter tires on the market are made to fit on most SUVs and crossovers, there are other models worth mentioning that are made exclusively for pickup trucks – like the Toyo Open Country WLT-1.
This Japanese product (and thus a little pricier than some competitors) was developed for pickups and vans apt to carry heavy loads (think of the F-250, Ram HD 2500, Transit T-250, etc.) during the winter.
On the one hand its grooves were designed to maximize dispersion of water, snow and slush, but on the other its carcass is stiffer to help carry the extra weight of heavy loads. This makes it a harder tire, but one very well-equipped to handle our Canadian roads in wintertime.
