During the Spring Classic, the fastest lap times of the whole weekend were completed by Jacques Villeneuve of Crabtree, behind the wheel of a
Porsche 935 in the German Challenge class, with a chrono of 1 minute, 40 seconds and 1 tenth, and by the owner of the track, Lawrence Stroll, in a Ferrari 430 Challenge, who circled the track in 1 minute, 44 seconds and 1 tenth.
Sunday morning in the Superbike class, Pascal Picotte recorded a time of 1 minute, 41 seconds and 515 thousands to grab 2nd place behind Jordan Szoke who won with a best lap time of 1 minute, 40 seconds and 678 thousands. So, the motorcycles go as fast as the best of the high-displacement Porsches and Ferraris, but on two wheels and a knee. Those guys and gals are absolutely crazy. I'm surprised, impressed, or as the English say, flabbergasted!
Just before the start of the PRO 600 early afternoon, I see Superman again. Once more, he walks to the starting grid and mounts his Yamaha
with great difficulty, but miraculously hangs on. He'll finish in 4th place. By the way, the seven fastest pilots are all in the same second, at 1 minute and 42 seconds.
I quickly get back to pit lane to see the arrival of the pilots at the end of the race, and I see Superman shaking like a leaf in the wind. How can he manage to stand up? He gets support for a moment, but gets over the concrete wall on his own. Did he lose some nuts and bolts during the race? This is totally incredible. This guy should be in bed, but he's here suffering with a back that can't take it anymore. Superman is alive, but in bad shape!

Picotte's back 121 minutes later to participate in the big class finals: the Superbike. Just thinking about it gives me a shiver down my spine. It's
incredible, but Pascal will run another 60 kilometers on the very technical track of the Mont Tremblant Circuit and finish 5th. Superman did the unimaginable. Superman is alive.
Hats off to you, Mister Picotte, alias "The Joker" or "Superman", according to Flag. Just like Gilles Villeneuve, Ayrton Senna and the whole Villeneuve family, I have respect for the warrior, Superman Picotte.
