Young Canadian driver Mikael Grenier was back on track this week at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway for a two-day trial run with his former Indy Lights squad Team Moore Racing after having been without a drive for more than a year.

Although he had to get back to business rapidly, Grenier was able to clock the fourth fastest time of the 13 drivers present on the former Formula One road circuit.

The first day was divided into two sessions; the first one being the occasion for most pilots to get acquainted with their cars and the layout of the track.

The Indy Lights Series test is part of the larger Road to Indy trials that have been organised to allow more than 50 drivers to show what they can do. Besides the Indy Lights Series, the USF2000 and Star Mazda Series are also present.

The action returns to the IMS Thursday October 11th and Grenier will have another chance to get the attention and maybe earn a drive for 2013.
