Penske’s Helio Castroneves ended up being the fastest driver on the track at the Sebring Raceway on the second day of the official IndyCar practice.
The Brazilian, who lead three out of four sessions on both Monday and Tuesday, finished ahead of both his teammates Will Power and Ryan Briscoe who once again showed that the Chevrolet-powered Dallara will be a force to be reckon with.
An initial group of 10 cars ran for the first two days, before the remainder of the 2012 field takes to the track on Thursday and Friday.
Andretti Autosport’s (Chevrolet) Ryan Hunter-Reay was fourth while Schmidt-Hamilton's Simon Pagenaud was again the best of the Honda runners present.
HVM's Simona de Silvestro, the sole Lotus-powered driver in the group, brought up the rear but had a much smoother day than Monday and was closer to the pace.
