It should be confirmed today that Ryan Hunter-Reay will joined Micheal Andretti’s IndyCar squad next year, becoming the third American to drive for the team along with Danica Patrick and Marco Andretti.
There will be a press conference today (Thursday) to announce officially, what Auto123.com had already revealed a couple of weeks ago, that giant clothing manufacturer IZOD will become the series title sponsor.
The 28-year old driver has been in talks with Andretti for a number of weeks now but Hunter-Reay refuses to confirm or deny the news only stating that something great is coming along the way for him….
Sources well informed are saying that IZOD, for which Hunter-Reay has been the “poster boy” last season, will invest more than $5 millions in marketing and promotion, $100,000 for each car to be paid to the owner plus a seven figure sponsorship deal for Hunter-Reay.
