One of the most successful brand bonding campaigns in the history of the car business will roll into its fourth year, as the Jeep Jamboree expands to eight events across Canada in 2001.

The Jeep division of Chrysler started this program a few years back in the U.S. with the idea of giving Jeep owners a chance to do what most of them never actually did – take their vehicles off-road.

Jeep JamboreeMore than that, the Jeep Jamboree was designed to be a three-day family-friendly event with lots of support for off-roading neophytes as well as the more experienced types, and those aspects are at the core of the program for this summer, which now includes on in Quebec's Eastern Townships.

"Jamborees will continue to emphasize great off-roading experiences and opportunities for fun camaraderie among fellow Jeep owners who attend," says Ron Baker, the president of the company responsible for administering and operating Jeep Jamboree Canada events."

As well, Baker says, "there will be opportunities to experience Jeep specialty vehicles and, of course, Jeep 101 training for first-time Jeep vehicle owners."

Essentially, Jeep Jamborees are a way to spend time meeting other Jeep owners (no other brands are allowed) and going on whichever of a series of off-road trails suit your taste, from easy to fairly difficult.
