Kia already has electric Niro and Soul versions on its roster, but a sportier EV would add spice to the product range

The Geneva Motor Show is approaching fast and we don’t need to check the calendar to know this. The previews, teaser images and leaked tidbits of information are coming fast and furious to whip up interest. The latest news comes from Kia, which confirms via a teaser image and short press release that it will have something interesting for show-and-tell in Geneva.

Kia will unveil a performance-focused EV concept that introduces a futuristic version of the signature grille Kia’s been placing on its products in recent years.

"Automotive design is about capturing the heart and making it beat that bit faster for that bit longer -- and we believe that there's absolutely no reason why that should change simply because the car is electric."

- Gregory Guillaume, VP of design, Kia Motors Europe

The new concept to be revealed in Geneva may prefigure the inclusion of a third electric vehicle in the Kia lineup, after the Niro and the Soul.

The Korean automaker has not confirmed this, however. We will know more about its plans during the Geneva Motor Show’s Media Days. Stay tuned for the March 5 presentation!
