After teasing us for weeks, Lamborghini finally hosted the world premiere of the new and super-exclusive Centenario today at the 2016 Geneva Auto Show. Only 40 units will be built including 20 coupes and 20 convertibles, and all of them are already spoken for.
Pricing was set to start at €1.75 million before taxes (roughly $2.6 million CAD).
The Lamborghini Centenario, which commemorates the 100th anniversary of company founder Ferruccio Lamborghini's birth, features a 770-horsepower V12 engine. It sprints from 0-100 km/h in just 2.8 seconds and from 0-300 km/h in 23.5 seconds. Top speed is rated at 350 km/h. A carbon fibre unibody drops its weight to 1,520 kg.
With just 40 copies around the world, your chances of seeing one in person are pretty slim… unless you’re Matt St-Pierre, who happens to be in Geneva to cover the event for us.
