The official images of the Lamborghini Estoque, yes, that's its name, have been released. After several suspenseful weeks and four teasers, the veil has finally been lifted.

True to its Lamborghini roots, the Estoque is anything but discrete. Its lines are outrageously sleek and sculpted. Its basic styling premise is directly inspired by the ultra exclusive Reventón, Lamborghini's almost furtive coupe. Every single line of its graceful body is either parallel to another or the continuation of it. The manufacturer has created an exceptional machine in terms of automotive design. It shares its front air intakes with the rest of the lineup, but the headlights are much more conventional.

In keeping with the present four-door coupe fashion, Lamborghini is entering the game with a car that can undoubtedly butt heads with the Porsche Panamera and the Aston Martin Rapide. As for engines, we can assume the Estoque will be powered by the Gallardo LP-560-4's V10, potentially enabling it to generate the same kind of power, a potent 560 hp. All-wheel drive should also be making the jump from the prototype to the production model.

The concept seems particularly complete, and we can anticipate an early commercialization that would take advantage of the momentum generated by the launch of the other two four-dour, four-seat sedans. If we were to make a reasonable projection, the final production model could be unveiled as early as 2010 for commercialization in 2011-2012.
