Lamborghini has recently displayed an ultra-exclusive model called the Reventón to the public. It's a stylistic masterpiece based on the LP640 Murciélago, featuring angular lines, sharp edges, and a high-tech look that some might confuse for a sci-fi space-craft. The front end features large air ducts incorporated into a predator-like face that will no doubt scare small children on sight.

In online discussion forums, photos of the car from its debut at Frankfurt earlier this week stirred up controversy. Some loved the style, while other's thought it looked like a Murciélago wearing a Darth-Vader costume.

A Lamborghini official describes the car. "The Reventón is not only "haute couture" but it also stands out for its elevated dynamism whilst entirely suitable for every day use. The Lamborghini Reventón is not destined to remain a one-off. A total of 20 Lamborghini friends and collectors will be able to own this extraordinary car and, naturally, enjoy the incomparable pleasure of driving it."

Incomparable pleasure and incomparable speeding tickets, too. Each is powered by a 6.5 litre V12 engine with 650 horsepower, enabling 0-60 in about 3.4 seconds on the way to a license-shredding 211 mile per hour top speed. With numbers like that, maybe it's a good thing they're only building 20- all of which are spoken for.
