After Toyota confirmed its entry in the new World Endurance Championship in 2012, the Japanese team announced that its project will be backed by team Oreca.
Several weeks ago, Toyota announced its return in racing with a new LMP1 prototype powered by an hybrid engine, which will be ran in several World Endurance Championship races next year, including the Le Mans 24 Hours in june.
Oreca will back Toyota’s entry in races. Oreca is a LMP constructor, which is also involved in Intercontinental Le Mans Cup with a Peugeot 908 Hdi, with a win in the Sebring 12 Hours in march.
