Current generation: 2018

Planned redesign: since the current Wrangler model is relatively new on the market, the redesign of the Wrangler won’t come anytime soon, especially considering its continuing popularity; plus there’s the fact that the last version was offered relatively unchanged from 2007 to… 2017. When it ain’t broke…

Common problems identified: on-board electronics (multimedia system), steering, suspension.

Consumer Reports expects reliability to be well below average. On the other hand, owner satisfaction is above average.

Current generation: 2016

Planned redesign: it’s unclear what plans are brewing at Alfa Romeo for the Giulia sedan, which is frankly not selling well. However, it seems pretty certain that there will be a sequel to this model. Beyond that, the platform, the vocation, and even the name could change. Another story to be continued.

Common problems identified: electrical equipment, electronic components, air conditioning system.

Consumer Reports does not make any predictions regarding home-owner satisfaction due to insufficient data. It simply predicts below-average reliability.
