In the center of the dashboard is a seven-inch LCD panel for the navigation system, along with temperature and radio controls. The center console has a shifter knob and a mouse-button that can operate the navigation, radio, cellular phone, and CD/TV functions.

The shifter knob and buttons throughout the car use Corian, the upscale product used for kitchen countertops, but never before seen in automotive applications. Plus, the Mark X has polished aluminum, dark and ribbed chrome accents too.
The floor boasts plush sheepskin mats, while supple leather seats feature tone-on-tone stitching throughout.

"The leather, I think it is fantastic and an absolutely great color," Mays said. "Bill (Ford) Sr. talked to me a lot about his design philosophy for the Lincoln. I showed him the vehicle two months ago and he said it was absolutely fabulous and in line with what (his father) Edsel would have liked. But, there is a timelessness about it that is absolutely, I think, what the mode of the classic Lincolns were."
Elegance Outside Comes with Power Too
Besides the new Lincoln aluminum egg-crate grille on the outside, the Mark X has two high intensity discharge (HID) headlamps that can double the amount of light thrown out by a conventional incandescent bulb. It has a sleek 4,700 mm (185-inch) long profile, and slender polished aluminum, flush-mounted door handles.
