Neither my navigator nor I are competitively motivated, or perhaps we're directionally challenged. I'd like to think we're enjoying our drive so much that we chose to prolong it.
Despite a couple of off-route detours, we arrive at last at our destination of Brighton where we lunch on a patio overlooking the rocky shoreline of the Bay of Quinte. We've transformed the parking lot into a page torn from an automobile history book, attracting friendly curiosity from the locals.
A cracking autumn day, great company and a leisurely cruise – what better way for car folk to send off the season?
