Grooveshark, the popular on-demand music service that lets you stream your favourite tunes without downloading them, will soon be available in our cars thanks to Livio and its internet radio package.
The kit, introduced earlier this year at the Las Vegas Consumer Electronics Show (CES), allows you to access your favourite songs and playlists just like your computer, and all for just $99.99 US.
To use it, simply plug the Livio device into your car’s 12-volt outlet, hook it up to your smartphone via Bluetooth and download the free app.
The kit includes a free 90-day subscription to Grooveshark Mobile; once the trial period is over, users will pay a monthly fee of $9 (or $90 per year).
Livio’s gadget also doubles as a hands-free device that allows you to safely take calls while driving.
Note, however, that Grooveshark is currently being sued for several million dollars by Universal Music Group, who claims that the company is violating copyright law by posting over 100,000 pirated songs on its web site.
