Colin Chapman's philosophy for building fast cars has always been simple- performance through light weight. 60 years after Chapman built his first racecar, his family will open the pinnacle anniversary celebration at the company's headquarters in Hethel, England. Taking place this September 14th, the automaker has extended an invitation to the general public to join them for the event.
Lately, Lotus has made news for their environmentally-conscious manufacturing initiatives, as well as the upcoming launch of a new model.
Lotus CEO Mike Kimberley says "this is a great opportunity to celebrate the past and look forward to both a very special year for Lotus and a fantastic future. It's important to us to celebrate the spirit of Lotus and we invite everyone to our headquarters to meet our people, our staff and our fans, and see us moving forwards".
