Introduced at the auto show, explained right here!

Mercedes-Benz, fresh off its fourth consecutive year of record sales in Canada, is doing more than just displaying its powerful GLC 63 S 4MATIC+ SUV and new GLC 350e 4MATIC plug-in hybrid (carrying the company’s new EQ electric mobility badging) at the 2018 Montreal Auto Show.

The automaker is also introducing visitors to its new Mercedes me connect services, which will be incorporated in all new 2019 model-year Mercedes-Benz models (except for the company’s B-Class models and commercial vans) starting this autumn.

The new mobility services are based on an application conceived to enhance vehicle owners’ experience. With Mercedes me connect, they can for example start, lock or unlock their vehicle from anywhere, monitor tire pressure and level of fuel, find their parked car within a 1.5 km radius and transmit points of interest to the navigation system.

At the auto show, visitors can test certain functionalities of the app on a cell phone at the Mercedes-Benz booth. The app is paired with a car located in the United Kingdom. The car is halfway around the world and the demonstration allows visitors to test certain functionalities of the app and see the results broadcast in a streaming image on a mounted video screen at the booth.

The German automaker is also showcasing its new 2018 S-Class sedan, which combines advanced drive assist systems with superb craftsmanship, premium-quality materials and refined design touches. It will feature an available ENERGIZING Comfort Control system that adjusts the settings of the vehicle and its interior to improve safety and passenger wellbeing. Six programs are available: Well-being (for comfort), Joy (for soothing), Warmth (for relaxation), Vitality (for energy), Refresh (for revitalization), and Training (three variations: muscle relaxation, muscle activation and balance). It sounds complicated, but try it and you may never want to do without!
