Versatile Clubman taken to new high

BMW Group has just unveiled the all-new MINI John Cooper Works Clubman ALL4, which brings a new level of performance to the small car brand’s most practical and versatile model.

Combining a motorsport-inspired 2.0L 4-cylinder turbocharged engine with the newest generation of ALL4 all-wheel drive (a MINI first), the MINI John Cooper Works Clubman ALL4 generates 228 horsepower ― 39 hp more than the Cooper S Clubman ― via a standard 6-speed manual transmission or optional 8-speed Steptronic automatic transmission. It sprints from 0-100 km/h in 6.3 seconds.

Performance is further enhanced by a sports exhaust system, Brembo brakes, 18” John Cooper Works ALL4 Grip Spoke light-alloy wheels, Dynamic Stability Control, Electronic Differential Lock Control, and Performance Control as standard equipment. Dynamic Damper Control and 19” wheels are available.

The MINI John Cooper Works Clubman ALL4 visually stands out from lesser Clubmans with large front air intakes in place of parking lights and fog lamps, model-specific side sills, a wide rear apron with integrated, tapered dual tailpipes, a JCW rear spoiler, an hexagonal grille with honeycomb pattern and cross member in Chili Red, and especially a Rebel Green body with red contrasting finish for the roof and mirror caps, plus available sport stripes in red or black.

Inside, the seats, steering wheel, door sills, and more get the John Cooper Works treatment. The standard 6.5” colour screen on the centre stack can be replaced by an 8.8” screen, while the optional MINI Head-Up Display system comes with John Cooper Works ALL4 specific display content.

Pricing for the new MINI John Cooper Works Clubman ALL4 will be announced closer to its Canadian market introduction this winter.
