Do you own an old Ford F-350 or F-250 pickup? If so, you should seriously worry about car thieves, as evidenced by the list of the most stolen vehicles in Canada in 2014 published by DesRosiers Automotive and Statistics Canada:

- 2006 Ford F-350 SD AWD
- 2007 Ford F-350 SD 4WD
- 2006 Cadillac Escalade 4WD
- 2003 Ford F-350 SD 4WD
- 2006 Ford F-250 SD 4WD
- 2001 Ford F-350 SD 4WD
- 2004 Ford F-250 SD 4WD
- 2007 Ford F-250 SD 4WD
- 2001 Ford F-250 SD 4WD
Alberta had the most cars and trucks stolen in 2014 with more than 16,000. Since pickups are quite popular in Western Canada, that shouldn’t come as a surprise.
On the other hand, 2013-2014 Lexus RX 350 and RX 450h SUVs were the biggest target of thieves in Quebec, followed by the Subaru WRX. In Ontario, the Cadillac Escalade, Acura ZDX, and BMW X6 led the way. Meanwhile, thieves in Eastern Canada preferred the 2006 Ford Freestyle, 1998 Dodge/Plymouth Neon, and 2004 Ford Focus ZX5.
