SUV of the Year: Jeep Wrangler
While the Genesis G70 is quickly getting in the habit of beating out tough rivals for big awards, the Jeep Wrangler has been doing just that for years. “Better than ever”, is how the folks at Motor Trend characterized the trusty off-roader from a manufacturer in the ascension within an automotive group that is not.
The new Wrangler generation is lauded for holding on to its defining characteristics as a champion off-road vehicle and a versatile “give me a job and I’ll do it” helper, while managing to modernize itself, on its own terms. The new Wrangler still is like no other crossover or utility model out there.
Jeep also has the smarts to offer the Wrangler in different configurations to please all kinds of buyers: two-door or four-door, V6 or mild-hybrid turbo, etc.
“The Wrangler is a thoughtful, thorough rework of an American original. It’s laser-focused on improving the performance of its intended function, right down to the last nut and bolt.”
- Angus MacKenzie, Motor Trend
