Truck of the Year: RAM 1500
By near-common accord, the new RAM 1500 offers the most refined and well-appointed interior and the smoothest driving experience of any pickup truck. We recently gave it our Auto123.com title of 2019 Pickup Truck of the Year, and Motor Trend has come to the same conclusion.
The RAM 1500 may not outsell the juggernaut that is the F-150, but in terms of qualities and features the current fifth generation of the model consistently pulls even with or even outpaces the Ford truck in the eyes of automotive journalists. In the words of Motor Trend, “there isn’t a truck out there that so precisely hits the diverse needs of the segment better than the 2019 Ram 1500”.
The magazine pointed at the evolutionary changes made to the truck’s outer design, upgrades brought to the interior and updates to the technologies to help explain the 1500’s victory in this category.
