Stewart meanwhile is on a roll, and heading into Atlanta next week only needs to keep his momentum going. For anyone to have a
serious shot at Stewart, he will have to suffer more bad luck - and Jimmie Johnson's crew chief, Chad Knauss tried to stir the pot a bit at Martinsville by instigating some 'trash talk' on Saturday. Chad Knauss told his driver Jimmie Johnson over the team radio, that his car was better than that of Tony Stewart's. Stewart overheard that conversation, and took it as a challenge. There was no doubt as Stewart came up behind Johnson in the late going, that he was going to do everything possible to make his way past Johnson - which he did.
The
chase now moves into its final four races of the season and at each of its upcoming tracks, the Fords' have been very strong, so expect the Roush teams to make their way back up the order.
