support? Sunoco seems to be the dominant sponsor, but Pfaff Motors and others have come on board. How hard is it to attract corporate sponsorship for a grass roots series like this, and more importantly, what are the benefits that would attract a corporate sponsor to this series?

RF: It's not been hugely difficult to generate some level of corporate support.  We're talking about doing our part to help young people.  That is our common interest.  Karting and car racing are the outlet.  From Sunoco to General Motors,

Pratt & Miller, the Toronto Star, Chris Pfaff - it's about doing the right thing here and helping out the next generation of drivers.  GM has been my employer now for ten years, that's a decent career span and with the amount of road racing they are doing with ALMS, Speed GT and Grand-Am, the future looks great.  Friends like Chris Pfaff, although he's with another manufacturer (Porsche), our common goal is about supporting the next generation of Canadian drivers.  Chris is no stranger to car racing.  He was involved back in the late 1980s helping at that time a young driver with promise - Scott Goodyear.  To create a showcase platform at this level is an ongoing project but we see that it's continuing to grow and is building momentum.
