North American Truck of the Year finalist: RAM 1500
The days when the pickup segment was a two-way battle between Ford and GM are well and truly over. Recent years have seen Fiat Chrysler’s RAM truck come on strong. Canadian sales now threaten to surpass those of the Silverado and the Sierra, as the three finalists in NACTOY’s 2019 list battle it out for second place behind the F-150.
The RAM got a major overhaul this year, just like the two models it’s pitted against here, and the consensus is that the 2019 RAM 1500 offers the highest level of refinement and ride comfort in its class. The jury for our 2019 Auto123.com awards, presented last month, gave the top prize in the Pickup of the Year category to the RAM 1500. The truck was also named Motor Trend's Truck of the Year for 2019.
