NASCAR Canadian Tire Series’ leader Andrew Ranger is expecting a tough race this week-end in Barrie for the Torbram Electric 300 presented on the short oval known to be a “car crusher”.

Ranger’s team is expecting the worst and they have decided to bring to old No. 27 Ford Fusion since performance on that circuit is less relevant than finishing it. That way, the new car will be saved for the last two rounds where speed is of the outmost importance.

The young Quebecer doesn’t have any precise goal regarding the conclusion of this round other than crossing the finish line and collect as much points as possible for the championship.

As for a future participation in the NASCAR Nationwide series, although Ranger received a lot of praises from observers and insiders, lack of sponsorship still is a problem, which has to be dealt with.

So, at the present time, no formal contacts have been made with any Nationwide squad but Ranger would like to race in a couple of events before the end of the season.
