Colombia-native Juan Pablo Montoya set the fastest time in both free practice sessions held Saturday in preparation for the Sylvania 300, the opening round of the NASCAR Chase for the Sprint Cup held at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

Montoya, driving the No 42 Target Chevrolet was the only driver to hit the speed of 130 miles per hour (130.131 this morning and 130.376 this afternoon).
This morning, the conditions were cool and the track was slippery. But the sun came out during the lunch time, and the lap times got quicker.
The former Formula 1 driver seems to be driving a car that is efficient in all conditions and also in traffic. Will Jee-Pee win his second NASCAR Sprint Cup race on Sunday, this time on an oval?
