Writing another chapter in a long success story

The all-new third-generation BMW X3 was unveiled today in a world premiere, revealing an even more striking and dynamic design, powerful yet efficient engines and a high luxury quotient.

By infusing the new edition with a dose of modern styling, BMW’s designers have succeeded in making the X3 more chic and more rugged all at once, notably by sharpening its lines, enlarging the grille and redrawing the air intakes and the headlamp and taillamp clusters. At the same time, the standard-offer wheel size has increased from 17" to 18" and the options menu now includes new personalization possibilities. Held over from the previous model are the xLine and M Sport packages.

The interior also sports greater airs of nobility and luxury than before. Plus, buyers can boost the comfort level even higher through a multitude of new optional features, among them three-zone automatic climate control, active seat ventilation, intelligent key, panoramic sunroof and more.

Never ones to neglect the driving experience, the engineers at BMW worked on improving the dynamic behaviour and sportiness of the X3, without compromising on the quality of the ride. Systems like the M Sport chassis, variable suspension, M Sport brakes and variable sport steering are available as options to push the road handling experience to even greater heights.

It’s expected that the new X3 lineup will include 252-hp xDrive30i and 360-hp M40i versions; they will respectively offer 11 hp and 60 hp more than their predecessors, and each will feature an optimized 8-speed Steptronic transmission as standard equipment.

Pricing, detailed information regarding equipment and the actual launch date of the new BMW X3 for Canada are still to be confirmed. Stay tuned as Auto123.com will have all the info for you as soon as it’s available!
