Volvo is set to make 2007 a successful year of carrying its distinguished brand of Scandinavian luxury to the marketplace, and its model line is hotter than ever with new features and technologies in place to deliver inspiring performance and a safe driving experience.
The model lineup at Volvo impresses with a selection of vehicles that appeal to active families who value safety, performance and luxury in a cost effective and upper scale package. Potential buyers will be delighted to learn that through various improvements, the lineup has just gotten even better.
C70:
Volvo's versatile hardtop convertible is perhaps one of the biggest bargains on the road, consisting of two vehicles in one. Roof up, it looks the part of a sophisticated coupe, but the roof retracts in seconds for open-top motoring. For 2007, the passenger seat gets power adjustments, and high quality leather is included in the Sport and Premium Package. MSRP for the C70 is $56,500.
S40 and V50:
The S40 compact sedan and V50 wagon in T5 trim both receive the elegant Cursa style 16 inch wheel, with17 inch wheels available on the optional sport model. T5 models, or 2.4i models with the Audio Package, are to be fitted with auxiliary audio inputs for MP3 players. A standalone option, the Keyless Drive system allows drivers access to their vehicles without removing the key from their pocket.
S80:
Volvos flagship is slightly taller and wider for 2007, and sports two sophisticated engine options, including a first in a Volvo sedan: a V8 engine. A dedication to safety and security is apparent in the S80, with clever airbags, the introduction of active xenon lighting and even a remote car monitor. The S80 has some of the world's best premium sedans in its sights, and Volvo expects sales volume of about 50,000 units a year.
XC90:
After listening to customers, Volvo has made updates to the style of the capable and refined XC90. A new grille, bumpers and lighting add a touch of elegance, while all models benefit from body coloured side moldings and door handles. A new straight-six engine displaces 3.2 litres and spins up 235 horsepower, although it has the same dimensions and fuel consumption ratings of last years 208 horsepower turbo-five engine.
The XC90's safety offering features active xenon lighting and Volvo's Blind Spot Information System (BLIS),which electronically monitors the vehicles blind spots.
