Honda launches 2009 Fit at the New York Auto Show
Although the Fit has only been on sale in North America for two years, it's actually seven years old and due for a makeover.
The 2009 Fit subcompact will look unmistakably like the current-generation model, but it will be bigger in almost every dimension.
The interior of the Fit will also be more spacious, with higher-quality materials as well as a tilt and telescopic steering wheel.
The Fit will still be powered by a 1.5-liter inline-4, which will generate 118 horsepower and 107 lb-ft of torque. The standard transmission will be a 5-speed manual, and a 5-speed automatic will be optional.
The new 2009 Honda Fit will be on sale in Canada this fall.
