Nissan Canada has announced that the Nissan LEAF NISMO RC prototype and NV3500 HD Passenger Van will make their first appearance in the country at the 2012 Montreal International Auto Show.

Inspired from its all-electric sibling, the LEAF NISMO RC (which stands for ''Racing Competition) aims to demonstrate the potential of EVs in auto racing. Devoid of rear seats and doors, stereo, and trunk, the car is made of carbon fibre and weighs about 40% less than the regular model. It's also longer, wider, and lower.

With 107 horsepower and 207 lb-ft of torque on tap, the Nissan LEAF NISMO RC sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.85 seconds, reaches a top speed of 150 km/h, and provides 20 minutes of zero-emission performance.

Meanwhile, the Nissan NV3500 HD Passenger Van targets professionals and families who require seating for up to 12. Actually, the remarkable flexibility of the interior allows a total of 324 different configurations.
